That, of course, is the name given to the procedure that the Senate Democrats used to defeat the nomination of Robert Bork to the United States Supreme Court. Since Bernard Kerik essentially committed professional suicide by allowing President Bush to nominate him to head the Department of Homeland Security knowing all the dirty laundry that his closet contained, shouldn't that now be referred to as having committed Hara-Kerik?
